What circumstances and settings are the We Are Worthy offerings suited for?

The offerings would be perfect for secondary schools, community and youth groups that cater for young people aged 12-20. If your setting is looking to increase overall wellbeing and mindfulness practices among your youth, improve health and fitness and provide lasting tools for wellness, we may be what you have been looking for. 

The offerings work well as part of a homegroup or pastoral care program, health and PE class, general school wellbeing program, community group values program, wellbeing day, youth group wellbeing program, religious education program and gyms catering for young people.

What is covered in the We Are Worthy Workshops?

Each workshop covers a targeted area of wellbeing and is tailored to suit your individual group’s needs. Some cover relaxation techniques, whilst others look at mindful use of technology or developing positive study habits. The full offering of workshops can be found here. 

Each workshop incorporates gentle movement (for all fitness levels), activity, discussion and assessment components, as well as practical, take away wellness tools for young people to use outside of the sessions.

What is the difference between a workshop, immersion and the We Are Worthy Program?

Immersions- you can combine two workshops to create a half-day immersive experience. 

We Are Worthy Program- this is a term-based program (10 sessions over a term, one session per week) that covers all the ideas in the workshops, plus more. The program is based on eastern philosophies around wellness and teaches students/participants gentle movement, mindfulness and wellness habits.

What age groups are your offerings suited to?

The program is targeted at youth aged 12-20 years. Each workshop is tailored to be age-appropriate, based on your young people’s needs.

What’s included in the offerings?

Everything will be organised for you. We just request a quiet, uninterrupted space to run the workshop in. You can use your school or organisation yoga/fitness mats, or we will provide fully sanitised mats for you.

All materials, including a take-home worksheet for students, with a toolbox of wellness practices to support participants after the session.

How much do the offerings cost?

A 60-75min workshop is $20 per participant (with a $300 minimum. This includes everything; all materials, facilitator costs and yoga mat hire etc.

Cost do vary and are determined according to each group size, location and requirements. Special arrangements can be made for multiple bookings and charitable organisations.

What are the expectations of participating schools or groups?

Do the young people need to be fit and flexible to participate?

Not at all, the program caters for all ability levels. We Are Worthy prides itself on its inclusivity and wants all young people to experience the benefits of movement, mindfulness and breathing techniques.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that sometimes cancellation is unavoidable. Due to high demand and scheduling on our side, please note that fees will apply for cancellations within 48 hours of a scheduled We Are Worthy offering.

  • Cancellation within 48 hours will incur a 25% fee of the total workshop cost.

  • Cancellation within 24 hours will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total workshop cost.

Where are the We Are Worthy offerings available?

We Are Worthy operates from Victoria, however, we are able to travel within Australia.

What happens after the sessions?

There is a small survey following each session and a follow up a month later, to ascertain the benefits of the session for the young people involved. The data from these surveys is also available to the event organisers upon request and may be used as a form of assessment.

How are the offerings aligned to the Victorian and Australian curriculum?

We Are Worthy offerings were developed by a current secondary school teacher and align with many strands in Health and Physical Education curriculum, as well as the General Capabilities.

They are also designed to complement the Victorian DET resources and other wellbeing programs, including Respectful Relationships, Mindfulness programs, Growth Mindset, Positive Psychology and Positive School-Wide Behaviours.
